The Nilgiris: Over 30 students from Upper Bhavani region in Nilgiris petitioned at Nilgiris district collectorate today demanding regular bus service to the area.
TNEB quarters are located nearby the dam, at Korakundha here. Petitioners said that a regular bus was operated between the region and Ooty earlier. The bus started from Ooty at 3.45 p.m and it would reach Upper Bhavani by 6.30 p.m. Recently, the government bus service in the route was cancelled due to poor revenue. Students said that their studied have been affected due to poor bus connectivity hence the bus service should be resumed at the earliest.
