Coimbatore: Members of TNEB contractors association petitioned at District Collectorate today demanding action against TNEB officials for removing information placards regarding online application for new connections.
The petitioners alleged that TNEB employees removed the association’s information board regarding the online application which was kept near Chinniyampalayam. The association alleged that when Assistant Engineer was asked regarding this, he said, “Higher officials have asked us not to receive applications online as they don’t have any benefits.” The petitioners demanded that the district administration should take action against officials who acted against Government Order and they should be removed from their respective positions.
