Coimbatore : Police have arrested father and uncle of a 13-year-old girl under POCSO act on charges of sexually assaulting the girl.
District Child Protection Office conducted an awareness program on safety and protection for girls at Telungupalayam government school here in which girls were given awareness on good touch and bad touch.
Among the school girls who attended the awareness program, a 13-year-old girl accompanied by her teachers filed a complaint at Selvapuram police station here alleging that she was sexually assaulted by her father and his brothers, since 2016.
Following this, the City Police have registered cases under POCSO Act against father of the girl Easu Rajan (38), and her father's brothers Easu Raja (28) and David (23). Police have arrested Easu Rajan, Easu Raja and are on the lookout for David.
The affected girl has been sent to a child care home.
