In yet another feat, India’s Arunima Sinha has become the first female amputee mountaineer to scale Mount Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica.

In yet another feat, India’s Arunima Sinha has become the first female amputee mountaineer to scale Mount Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica.

The 30-year-old mountaineer was also the world’s first ever amputee when she climbed Mt. Everest in 2013.

Arunima, a former national volleyball champ who later turned to mountaineer took to Twitter to announce her feat following which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Arunima by tweeting “Excellent...Congrats to Arunima for scaling new heights of success.”

By scaling Mount Vinson Arunima Sinha has become the world’s first woman to scale the highest peak in Antarctica thus bringing laurels to India.
