Coimbatore : A 4-member gang who were accused of fatal attacking a motorist on January 3 here surrendered at different Courts in Coimbatore and Mettupalayam. The Court remanded the accused to Coimbatore Central Prison.

According to police, Manikantan (29), an interior designer from North Housing Unit in Selvapuram was subjected to fatal assault at Selvapuram 60ft Road by a group of men recently. Manikantan went along with his friend Ramesh to seek justice for an earlier assault on Suresh, brother of Ramesh.
Ramesh and Manikantan were waylaid and attacked by the group in which Manikantan sustained grievous injuries. Onlookers rescued Manikantan and admitted him to CMCH.
Selvarpuram police registered a case and they were on the lookout for the offenders.
Meanwhile, all the four- Balaraman, Bharadwaj, Dinakaran and Sethuraman surrendered before Courts in Mettupalayam and Coimbatore. They were remanded to Coimbatore Central Prison.
