The Nilgiris: Nilgiris police arrested four persons in Kothagiri today for selling banned lotteries online.

Police arrested Rajkumar (50), Abdul Jaffar (54), Rangaraj (66) and Mohandas (28) for selling banned lotteries online and seized Rs 1,64,000 and six mobile phones from them. Police arrested the accused based on a tip-off. Kothagiri police were involved in patrol duty near Kothagiri bus stand, Ramchand and other areas when they found few persons roaming in the area carrying small paper bits in a suspicious manner. The accused were produced before Magistrate and they were remanded.
