Tirupur: Karumathampatti police recovered two panchaloha idols stolen from a Tirupur temple near Karumathampatti in Salem-Kochi National Highway today. Police are investigating.
Two panchaloha idols were found near an abandoned house in Karumathampatti today. Passerby noticed this and immediately informed Karumathampatti police. Police recovered the idols and collected details regarding idol theft cases in the area.
On investigation, police found that the 2ft idols were of Lord Venugopalsamy and Goddess Sathyabhama stole from Venugopalsamy temple in Tirupur. Mangalam police reached the station and they are investigating.
