Tirupur : Members of Tamil Manila Vivasaya Thozilalar Sangam petitioned at District Collectorate today demanding free house site pattas near Uthukulli.

Public residing in poramboke lands and rented houses near Uthukulli have been petitioning the district administration demanding free house site pattas. Since no action was taken on their petitions, the petitioners staged a dharna in front of Uthukulli taluk office recently. Later, Uthukulli thasildhar promised free pattas to 32 families in 4.5 acres of land near Kangeyampalayam.

However, the pattas were not distributed citing that the land belonged to the Forest department and alternate lands are being surveyed. Demanding immediate action, Tamil Manila Vivasaya Thozilalar Sangam members and other residents petitioned at District Collectorate today.
