Reportedly, four youngsters had lost their lives during new year celebrations in the City. Various minor accidents happened in the City during new year celebrations, yesterday. Meanwhile, reportedly, in an accident at Velandipalayam yesterday, two youngsters namely Niyas and Manikandan lost their lives as their motorcycles hit each other head-on.
In other accident, Madhavan of Vasandham Nagar at Kuniyamuthur here sustained severe injuries near Ukkadam here while he was returning home on his motorcycle after new year celebrations. Madhavan died at government hospital here without responding to the treatment. Biju of Rathnapuri here died as a two-wheeler dashed against him while he was returning home. Meanwhile, he died at government hospital here during wee hours today.
