Bearing placards and shouting slogans like “Don’t convert farmlands into deserts” and “Implement the project in a different alignment," the CITU cadres said that the farmers in seven districts had to resort to a warpath protesting against anti-farmer projects.
Briefing the media, Krishnamurthy, CITU District President said that the HT lines should be laid as underground cables to avoid fragmentation of farmlands in West Tamil Nadu as done in Kerala.
