Coimbatore : A 76-year old man, Kandasamy of Kodangipalayam, Palladam who allegedly lost his land has petitioned at the District Collectorate here, seeking mercy killing.
Coimbatore : A 76-year old man, Kandasamy of Kodangipalayam, Palladam who allegedly lost his land has petitioned at the District Collectorate here, seeking mercy killing.
The petition filed by Kandasamy, a retired TNSTC employee stated that the three acres of land belonging to his grandmother Karuppaaththal was given to his grandson Kandasamy. Meanwhile, allegedly, Sun Rajendran of the DMK party and the Mettupalayam ex-MLA Arun Kumar had confiscated the three acres of land by forging documents.
"The land got shifted to many and is now being sold as house sites. In 2006, I had petitioned the Chief Minister and all other government officials to recover my land but no action has been initiated till now. I want to end my life, so grant me permission for mercy killing and use the body for the training of medical students," detailed the petition.
