Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman awarded the ‘Best cantonment of the year’ award to Wellington cantonment at an event held at New Delhi.
Every year, the Defence Ministry chooses best cantonments in various divisions and honours them with awards.
Among other parameters, the Wellington Cantonment board was honored for providing exemplary service to the people, especially aiding them in computer use and other new technology.
