Tirupur: As part on the ongoing green initiatives, the students of GVG Women's College in Kaniyur, Udumalpet organised a tree plantation campaign to make their city a greener place to live in.
Tirupur: As part on the ongoing green initiatives, the students of GVG Women's College in Kaniyur, Udumalpet organised a tree plantation campaign to make their city a greener place to live in.
MLA R. Jayaraman flagged off the tree plantation campaign and motivated the students to participate in many such social causes.

The students held placards and rallied through prominent locations to create awareness among the public on the role of trees in bringing copious rainfall. The public were also educated on the ill-effects of one-time use plastics.

Fostering on usage of cloth bags and other alternatives to plastic, the students stressed the public to carry eco-friendly bags while they go to buy groceries or shopping.
