Labourer killed in drunken brawl at Ondipudur

Coimbatore : In a suspected drunken brawl near Ondipudur, a labourer is reported to have been murdered by his friends.

Coimbatore : In a suspected drunken brawl near Ondipudur, a labourer is reported to have been murdered by his friends. 

According to Police, last night, the victim, Rathinasamy was murdered in a cold-blooded manner by unidentified persons who hit him with wooden logs on his head, possibly in an inebriated state.

Police recovered the blood-stained body of Rathinasamy near a bridge at Kamakshipuram in Ondipudur on Thursday late night. 

Rathinasamy, an alcoholic was working in TADCO lathe regularly consumed alcohol along with his friends. Hence, it is assumed that a brawl between the tippler friends could have led to his murder. 

Singanallur police have also recovered the blood-stained wooden logs from the murder site and are investigating the case. A manhunt to nab the culprits has been launched.
