Astrologer’s murder: Suspect remanded till January 10

Tirupur: A Tirupur Court remanded the suspect in the astrologer’s murder case to 15 days judicial custody today and the suspect was lodged in Coimbatore Central Prison.

According to reports, Ramesh alias Kumar, a resident of Mangalam, Bharathi Pudur was practicing parrot astrology at the Corporation Park on Kumaran Road, for the past 14 years. Meanwhile, today afternoon, while Ramesh was on his way for lunch, a motorist wearing helmet stabbed him from behind killing him on the spot. The suspect Raghu surrendered at Chennai Ambattur Judicial Magistrate Court on Wednesday and he was produced in Tirupur Court today.



Judge Kaviarasan, hearing the case today remanded Raghu to 15 days judicial custody, until January 10. He was lodged in Coimbatore Central Prison. He was teary-eyed when he was taken to the prison.
