"PMK will organize state executive council meeting titled “Let us bid goodbye to 2018 and welcome 2019” in the city on December 29 and 30, with the PMK founder Ramadoss unveiling the program for 2019. Tamil Nadu is staring at a water crisis and the political spectrum should unite to save the water rights of Tamil Nadu, more so since the acreage under cultivation is fast dwindling," said G K Mani.
“Only check dams constructed across rivers would serve to conserve groundwater and ensure water availability," opined G K Mani. He also contended that the Mekadatu Dam, when constructed would spell doom to the water needs of Tamil Nadu and only interlinking of rivers would be a lasting solution to avoid water crisis in future.
While condemning the Government proposal to close down the nutritious meal scheme centers, G K Mani said that the protesting Government teachers should be called for talks to resolve the outstanding issues.
Speaking on the blood banks in the State being accused of HIV contamination which has caused alarm among the public, G K Mani said blood banks ought to be made fool-proof to avoid any contamination in the blood stored.
G K Mani also added that the family of the deceased leader Kaduvetti Guru was given due respect by the PMK and there is no truth in the false news carried by a section of the media.
