Coimbatore : Miscreants broke into a locked house in the city and burgled 45 sovereign worth gold ornaments from the house in Swamy Iyer New Street near Selvapuram.
According to reports, Ganesan, a gold shop worker who resides at Swamy Iyer New Street had gone to a nearby park along with his family last night. On returning home, he was shocked to find his house broken into, and on scanning through the rooms, he found that the locker in the house had also been broken into and all the gold ornaments stolen.
Following this, the Big Bazaar Police who were informed rushed to the spot and carried out an investigation, recording all fingerprints. Ganesan alleged that the 45 sovereign worth gold placed in the locker was burgled. The Big Bazaar police have registered a case and are continuing investigation.
