The representatives of the community alleged that no proper police protection was arranged during the Car festival, which passed through prominent locations. They pointed that policemen even used abusive words against them.
Demanding action against the Police Inspector attached to Ooty town central police station, the Todas apprised "If no action is initiated against the erring policemen, the community members would intensify their protests and escalate the issue to the higher officials".
