BSNL and cable TV operators in the District have been roped to provide internet service through optic cable for the benefit of the public in Nilgiris.
Muralidaran, Chief Manager of BSNL for Nilgiris inaugurated the service today.
‘"Initially, the services will be offered in Coonoor and Mount pleasant areas. Customers in these areas can enjoy high-speed internet and free voice calls for 24 hours. Customers could access to internet for their devices through Wifi", he said.
"A MoU has been signed with the cable TV operators of other areas in the district, so that the service could benefit more", he added.
