The 107th Annual festival of Bhavaniswarar temple was held today and the temple car procession passed through important streets here. Dhodar tribes performed their traditional dance as part of the festival.
Members of tribal community alleged that the police didn’t provide with necessary security and they indulged in a quarrel with them. The tribal community also staged a road roko here. This led to a scuffle between police and the tribal community. Later, Deputy Police Commissioner Thirumeni reached the spot and pacified the protesters following which they dispersed from the area.
