Post mortem could not be conducted on the two to three-year-old female leopard yesterday as there were no veterinarians available in the division.
It was only today that Dr. Ashokan arrived from Sathyamangalam for the post-mortem at Anaikatti.
It maybe noted that the bug cat was hit by a speedy vehicle while trying to cross the Anaikatti Road near Jambugandi yesterday.
The carcass was retrieved and burnt today after post mortem.
