Coimbatore : The CPI National Secretary, T Raja in a briefing with the media at Jeeva House, the party's district headquarters in the city, said that the wrong economic and political policies of the Modi government have led to the suffering of women, children and the downtrodden in the nation.

“The Congress-led umbrella alliance is being formed to oust the current PM from power and make people vote against the Modi government,” added T Raja. He further opined, "Projecting Rahul Gandhi as a potential PM candidate is M K Stalin's own viewpoint and alliance partners will decide on the PM candidate only after the polls."

“While the Prime Minister could not visit and console the victims affected by Cyclone Gaja, he is making himself present in celebrity weddings of film stars," commented T Raja. He also alleged that the ruling AIADMK is playing second fiddle to PM Modi and is not in a position to act on its own volition.
