Military recruits take oath after completion of training at MRC near Coonoor

The Nilgiris: About 400 youth from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka who were trained at the Wellington army camp for 46 weeks took oath at an event held in the Madras Regiment Centre (MRC), in Wellington, near Coonoor.

The Nilgiris: About 400 youth from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka who were trained at the Wellington army camp for 46 weeks took oath at an event held in the Madras Regiment Centre (MRC), in Wellington, near Coonoor. 



The soldiers took oath on their holy books and national flag, following which a military parade took place which was accepted by the Commandant of Military Hospital, at Wellington, Brigadier Pankaj P Rao. Following this, medals were distributed to the best five soldiers. 



The soldiers will be sent for duty to the battalion assigned to them, in different camps on the border. Higher ranked officials, army personnel and the public participated in the event.
