Fearing Maoist infiltration, Security tightened at Tamil Nadu-Kerala border in Nilgiris

The Nilgiris : Police are involved in strict vigil at the forest region of Tamil Nadu-Kerala border in the Nilgiris. 

Based on a tip-off that Maoists infiltration into TN through forest region of Manjoor and Kedhai at TN-Kerala border in the Nilgiris, forest department and special task force have tightened vigilance along these forest region.



As a matter of precaution, hundreds of sand bags are stocked around Manjoor Police Station. CCTV cameras are also installed to monitor the movement of unauthorized persons in the border. 



Police have advised the public to stay alert and immediately inform movement of unknown persons around their locality.
