Tirupur : Farmers must adjust to hurdles due to various development projects for nation’s development, said Minister Udumalai K Radhakrishnan at Tirupur today.



The Minister for Animal Husbandry was here to inaugurate a three-day exhibition by the district administration and Tiruppur Corporation on eco-friendly products and solid waste management. When reporters asked the Minister about the recent protests by farmers at various parts of the State, Udumalai Radhakrishnan said, “The Chief Minister has already met the farmers and heard their concerns.



The Chief Minister has promised the farmers better compensation for their land. It is common that some might have to face issues during certain development projects. P Thangamani, Minister for Electricity has also agreed to meet the affected farmers and improve facilities for them. 



The Minister added that efforts are being taken to make Tirupur a plastic-free city from January 1. Senior district administration officials and legislators were present during the event.
