As part of its reopening plans in Tuticorin, Sterlite Copper Factory CEO P Ramanath said that the firm will be building Rs.100 crore worth smart school and a state-of-the-art hospital for the public in Tuticorin.
The Sterlite Copper factory, which was shut down in May this year following widespread protests was cleared for reopening by National Green Tribunal recently. The Green Court also directed the firm to invest Rs.100 Crores for public welfare in the area within a period of three years.
Talking about its various CSR activities, P Ramanath said that the firm will build a smart school and state-of-the-art hospital for Tuticorin people.
