Led by the CPI (M) cadres, the residents argued with the Corporation officials for not providing them with basic amenities, including better roads and regular water supply. “The huge pit which was used to dump garbage should be closed and the practice discontinued,” demanded the residents.
The agitation was called off by the residents after the police and Corporation officials reassured the residents that basic amenities in the area will be looked into and prided on an urgent basis.
