Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation’s Town Planning wing officials got into action and demolished more than 80 houses at Sanganur canal here which were built in unauthorised plots.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation’s Town Planning wing officials got into action and demolished more than 80 houses at Sanganur canal here which were built in unauthorised plots.
Based on the orders from Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. VijayaKarthikeyan, officials visited the pot and ear-marked the houses to be demolished. Around, 86 encroached houses from Sanganur canal to IRS road stretch were demolished, today.
People who resided at these houses were provided with alternate houses by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board at Keeranatham.
Assistant Town Planning Officer, B. Vimala and officials from Corporation supervised the operation.
