Coimbatore : Pattali Makkal Katchi G.K Mani condemned the Karnataka government's attempts to build a dam at Mekedatu and demanded the Central government to intervene objectively in the issue.

The party leader who was here to attend a party functionaries' meeting at Mettupalayam said, "I strongly condemn Karnataka government's move to build a dam at Mekedatu. The Karnataka government is disrespecting the orders of Supreme Court and Cauvery Management Board and it has also overstepped on the rights of the State." He added that the Centre should act objectively in this issue.
Regarding the recent win by Congress party in elections at five states, G.K Mani said that the it was reflection of people's wrath against demonetization. G.K Mani also demanded the State government to take necessary steps to shutdown the Sterlite plant permanently.
