Over 150 VAOs took part in the protests. The protesters conducted a procession from Women’s Polytechnic College to District Collectorate demanding basic amenities and better digital facilities at VAO offices. The protesters also petitioned with District Collector T.N Hariharan demanding the same.
The VAOs, in their petition, demanded that old pension scheme should be reintroduced, VAO offices should be provided with basic amenities and internet facilities. The protesters said that for the past five years, VAOs paid internet charges of their offices from their income. Protesters demanded that the State government should take necessary action on their petition.
