The farmers petitioned that over 3000 acres of agricultural land will be affected due to this project. The farmers said that several farmers will get affected due to this project. The farmers suggested that the government should consider expanding the existing Karur-Coimbatore road. Farmers alleged that government is trying to help Corporates through this project. over 200 farmers gathered at District Collectorate today as part of this petition.
