Coimbatore: A 53-year-old man walked upside down to District Collectorate today and demanded the district administration to return his ancestral land which was taken over by HR&CE department.
Coimbatore: A 53-year-old man walked upside down to District Collectorate today and demanded the district administration to return his ancestral land which was taken over by HR&CE department.
Chatrapathi (53) from Kuniamuthur was working as a priest at Dharmaraja Draupadi Amman Temple here. Chatrapathi said that their family has been working as a priest at the temple right from his forefathers’ period. Chatrapathi said that their family was presented 1.12 acres by then royal family and they did agriculture there.

Chatrapathi alleged that the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Board took over their temple recently and also took over the land stating that it is owned by HR&CE Board. Chatrapathi petitioned with Revenue District Officer today and demanded officials to take necessary action to return him the land.
