According to police, Althurai has leased their tea factory to a person named Vijayraj. Once the lease period expired, the Vijayraj has allegedly leased the tea factory to Amulraj, a functionary of Puthiya Thamilagam party and they weren’t ready to vacate the factory. A case was filed in this regard. Althurai alleged that he was attacked during a visit to the family temple. Kethi police arrested Chinnathambi (34), Manikandan (26), Shekar (34) – all from Andhiyur, Ganesh (28) from Gopi and Visu (36) from Aranthangi.
Kethi police said that the Court has ruled in favour of Althurai and the Court has instructed Amulraj not to block the way to temple. “Despite this, five workers from Amulraj’s Asian tea factory attacked Althurai during his visit to the temple.
