Yi's 'Smart City Hackathon' winners


The 30-hour 'Smart City Hackathon' by Young Indians, Coimbatore Chapter was finally concluded with the announcement of winners. The first prize winners were awarded Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 10,000 as second prize.





Professions Category:

N. Karthi was awarded the first prize for his project on 'Smart living' - A toll free mobile app for the people of the city to raise their grievances.

Siddharth Kengadaran was also awarded first for his Kovai bot project which connects various smart applications to the user via a chat interface.



M.S. Ganesha Murthy was awarded third Prize for Creating a smart city model depicting smart ways of power consumption, traffic control using micro controllers and sensors connected to the cloud platform.

Individual (Students category)

Achuthan M.G was awarded first for his No food waste website which emphasize on 'freedom to eat' and cater the needs of the people in hunger through NGO's and restaurants. 



Praveen was awarded second prize for his mobile based app on SWM & Cleanliness Monitoring of the city. To monitor whether the streets are free from junks and Find Public lavatories through a Mobile App.
