AISF seeks justice for School Student's death

The suicide of the 9th School student, Babu on 16th August has been widely condemned by various political outfits and social organisations.

An hour ago, the All India Student Federation (AISF) activists staged a protest at the Collectorate. The protest was demonstrated to urge immediate action against the three teachers Kandhaiah, Karthick and Gunaseelan of Kamalanathan Higher Secondary School, Velandipalayam for provoking Babu to end his life.

The parents had lodged a complaint against the teachers on 16th August but still no action has been initiated against the teachers, alleged the protestors. The child helpline officials and the Principal of the school should also be taken to task for not shooting action against the complaints raised by the student and his mother. They insisted that the family of the deceased should be fairly compensated by the Government, on priority.

The unsparing behaviour of the teachers and the lethargic attitude of the officials has cost the life of an innocent school boy and hence the concerned officials should instigate stringent action against the convicts, they demanded.
