DMK party alleges on the functionality of the City Corporation


A massive protest was staged by the party members of DMK party at the South Thasildhar office.

Close to 500 party members led by Muthusamy, District Secretary (North) and Natchimuthu, District Secretary (South) gathered at the South Thasildhar Office to raise their concerns on the functionality of the Corporation. 



Muthusamy reported that for the past five years the Corporation has been negligent in catering to the basic needs of the people like electricity, roads, drinking water, sanitation etc., muddling up people's daily life. The authorities need to be transparent in all the dealings and respond swiftly to all the pressing issues immediately, he urged.

With the advent of nearing local body elections, many political outfits have started to raise their concerns and protests against the Corporation administration. Yesterday, the BJP party protested at all the 100 wards and today the DMK party have joined the protesting list.
