Employee of home appliance shop accused of fraudlent dealings

A group of people today marched to the Assistant Commissioner of Police's office to file a complaint against an employee of a private home appliances shop in Gandhipuram.

Venkatesh, an employee of a private firm dealing in home & electrical appliances had obtained documents from the people against bookings of products at his shop. The people who were interested in buying products submitted all the necessary documents like their address proof, ID proofs, bank statements, cheque leafs and photographs to him for securing loans.

Shortly after submission, they received an SMS alert to their registered phone numbers informing on auto debit for the consumer loan procured towards their purchase. They were shocked by the SMS, as they were yet to receive their products. The customers were wholly confused by the SMS and hence approached the dealer for clarification.

They were further shocked to know that Venkatesh has deceived them by re-selling the products to others for Rs. 7 lakhs.

Hence, the infuriated people requested the the Asst.Commissioner to initiate stringent action against Venkatesh immediately.
