Tipper lorry kills Cobbler at Chettipalayam


In an unforeseen accident at Chettipalayam a Cobbler lost his life. 

Palanisamy (40) a Cobbler was engaged with his routine work near a bakery at the Palladam - Velanthavalam Junction, Chettipalayam. Unexpectedly, a tipper lorry via the route, loaded with gravels slipped off the road and crushed Palanisamy, who died on the spot. 

The incident was informed to the Police and with the help of a poclain his body was recovered and sent for post-mortem to the Government Hospital.



Few of the public joined together and staged a protest urging to terminate the Tasmac's from that area and also insisted to install speed breakers with immediate effect. The Police pacified the agitators and cleared the protest.



The incident led to a two-hour traffic halt at Chettipalayam Road.
