Siruthuli plants 84 saplings and pays tribute to Dr. Kalam

Siruthuli is an NGO based in Coimbatore which works to rejuvenate the water sources in the city of Coimbatore.

Today, the NGO planted 84 saplings to commemorate the first death anniversary of Dr. Abdul Kalam at their premise.



The event was started off by Dr. Vijay Karthikeyan, Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation by planting a sapling. 

While addressing, he stated that there will be a lot of obstacle in everyone's life, on the verge of success. But the obstacles should not stop the efforts indeed seen as stepping stones for success. 



He also emphasised that the youngsters should work in unity towards the development and cleanliness of the City.

Vanitha Mohan, Managing Trustee of Siruthuli evoked that in 2005 Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam inaugurated the Siruthuli Organization in Coimbatore. She also quoted that 'Nature and Youngsters were like two eyes of Dr.Kalam'. 

D. Nandakumar, President of Indian Chamber of Commerce was also present for the event. 

Siruthuli Staff's and students from various schools actively participated in the planting drive.
