Thousands of petitioners choke Collector office

Every Monday is the designated day for registering grievances and complaints to the Collector. This day usually sees complaints from various people, usually around 5 to 10 petitions. Some really unusual ones have also surfaced during the last few weeks. But today it was different.

The collector office was thronged by thousands of people and the confusion and ruckus caused by this unexpectedly huge crowd made it difficult for the police to control the situation. Even staffs of the Collector office had trouble getting in and many were asked to show their ID cards to get in, which they reluctantly did.

We will keep you posted on the complaints and issues raised today. Stay tuned for more updates.
