Traffic snarl at Hope College reaches the MLA

Starting from Play Schools to Matriculation schools and Arts, Engineering, Dental, Medical colleges the long strip of Avinashi Road is the busiest in the City. The rush hours of the day pose a serious threat to the commuters to reach their destinations on time and safely.

The hope college signal is one such place congested throughout the day withvehicles moving at snail pace.

The traffic police had manifested few changes in traffic routes last week, on a trial basis. As people are yet to adapt to the new changes, the diversions have caused perturbation amongst the commuters.

A couple of days back, public (mostly parents) demonstrated a protest seeking to remove the barricade at the Hope's signal as it further impedes the traffic during rush hours. People also grieved that such congestions have led to many accidents.

The incident was brought to the notice of MLA Karthick of Singanallur Constituency who today visited the problem zone with few other officials. He interacted with the public to know more about the day-to-day issues faced by them because of such snarl-ups.

While addressing the press, he stated that he would propose the State Government to construct a flyover at the Hope's signal, which has been people's appeal for a long time.
