Venkatesh, a passenger of the mini bus enroute to Vadavalli from Thudiyalur, assumed to be drunkard got into a quarrel with Rathinavel, conductor of the bus, regarding issuance of the ticket. The tussle in no time got heated up leading to an unforeseen incident. He took a knife and stabbed the conductor in his neck causing trepidation amongst the passengers. Gopal, one of the passenger who tried to control the brutal act was also assaulted.

The anguished drivers and conductors of 10 buses of that route lodged a complaint at the Thudiyalur Police Station pressing the immediate action against the culprit. The police acted swiftly and nabbed the accused and took him into custody.
