Student mentorship programme for civil engineering students

With the verge of cities transforming into smart cities the infrastructure has to be developed tremendously and for this purpose, Union Government demands more Civil Engineers on board.
 
The pilot project will be launched by The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers(India) will mentor the Civil Engineering students across 10 cities in the country. It will be a paid course where the students will be taught things which are not included in the regular syllabus. Students will be enrolled in colleges and totally 32 modules will be there. The students will be evaluated based on the performance.
 
This project is already being conducted in Coimbatore for years and now the Association is looking forward to 20 more colleges from nationwide.

The students will not be guaranteed placement will be definitely helped to find jobs. The details of institution and colleges will be shared on the Associations website.
 
A session was organised in Coimbatore by S. Pichaiya, former national president of the association, and S. Balasubramanian, Head of Coimbatore centre nearly 10 coordinators participated from the various institution.
