Discussion on ‘Start-up India’


Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore and Young Indians (Yi), Coimbatore chapter, will organise a programme on February 21 here to discuss about “Startup India; Standup India” initiative.

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman will be the chief guest.

Start-ups, student entrepreneurs, industrialists and incubator providers are expected to take part. Some of the start-ups will display their products and services and a successful young entrepreneur will share his experience about the Start-up climate in the city, according to a press release.

Seminar

The Department of Computer Applications of Bharathiar University will conduct a seminar on ‘Research Performance Analysis and Strategy’ on February 18. Applications invited

The National Institute of Solar Energy will organise skill development programmes here jointly with the nodal agencies of the State Government.

This will be a residential programme for three months and certificates will be issued at the end of the course.

Applicants should have passed Standard X and ITI or diploma (in electrical, mechanical or electronics) and should be aged above 18 years.

The last date for registration is February 24.
