Omni buses to change parking spot on GST Road

The Traffic Police have proposed a new plan near the Mount Head Post Office to ease congestion on the Grand Southern Trunk (GST) Road.

As per the orders of Police Commissioner A.K. Viswanathan, a meeting was convened with the Omni Bus Owners’ Association in Chennai on Wednesday in order to ease traffic congestion near Asarkhana, Mount Head Post Office, due to the parking of omni buses.

In this connection, a study was conducted to find out ways to reduce the congestion.

During the meeting, the association members were requested to stop their vehicles on the Inner Ring Road, opposite the Officers Training Academy, to pick up passengers and take the right towards MKN Road and enter GST Road.

The omni bus operators agreed to the new arrangements suggested by the police and promised full cooperation.
