President Pranab Mukherjee to visit DSSC in Nilgiris on Friday

Udhagamandalam: President Pranab Mukherjee will visit the Defence Service Staff College (DSSC) at Wellington in the Nilgiris on Friday to preside over the graduation ceremony of the 71st staff course, a press release issued by the DSSC said.

As many as 458 officials, including 34 from 25 foreign countries, will come out of DSSC in flying colours on Friday.

"The President will present medals to award winners and hand over parchments to foreign officials. On the occasion, the Commandant of DSSC will present a Banner of Excellence to the President on behalf of the college," it said.

DSSC is a premier tri-services training institution, providing command and staff training to the officials of army, navy and air force, civil services and those of Common Wealth and other friendly foreign countries.
