The services will be short-terminated at Coimbatore North, while the return service will originate from Coimbatore North instead of Podanur.
Coimbatore: Track maintenance and engineering works between Coimbatore and Podanur railway stations will lead to changes in a pair of Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU train services on September 18, 19 and 20.
As part of the arrangements to facilitate the works, the Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU, scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 1.05 p.m., will be short-terminated at Coimbatore North Railway Station on all three days.
The train will operate only between Mettupalayam and Coimbatore North and will not run on the Coimbatore North–Podanur Junction section on September 18, 19 and 20.
Meanwhile, the Podanur–Mettupalayam MEMU, scheduled to depart from Podanur Junction at 3.30 p.m., will instead originate from Coimbatore North Railway Station at 3.52 p.m. on the three days.
The service will not operate between Podanur Junction and Coimbatore North Railway Station. It will originate from Coimbatore North and operate up to Mettupalayam Railway Station on the affected dates.
