Tamil Nadu College of Engineering Launches ‘Trinity Summit 2026–27’ Departmental Association

The Departments of Automobile, Civil and Mechanical Engineering at Tamil Nadu College of Engineering jointly inaugurated ‘Trinity Summit 2026–27’, their departmental association for the academic year, with industry leaders and academicians encouraging students to strengthen their technical expertise, leadership skills and industry readiness through academic and professional engagement.


Coimbatore: The Departments of Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at Tamil Nadu College of Engineering jointly inaugurated ‘Trinity Summit 2026–27’, their departmental association for the academic year, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing technically proficient and industry-ready engineers through collaborative learning and professional engagement.



The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by the traditional lighting of the kuthu vilakku by the dignitaries. M. Mahisha, Student Treasurer of the Department of Civil Engineering, welcomed the gathering.

Dr. P. Varatharaju, Head of the Department of Automobile Engineering, Dr. M. Seethapathi, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and Dr. P. Dharmalingam, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering addressed the gathering, highlighting the role of departmental associations in fostering academic excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration and holistic student development.



Principal Dr. N. S. Sakthivel Murugan emphasised that departmental associations provide an ideal platform for students to develop technical competence, leadership qualities and organisational skills. He encouraged students to actively organise technical symposiums, workshops, seminars and other industry-oriented programmes throughout the academic year.

In her presidential address, Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Group of Institutions, said the association was envisioned as a platform that extends learning beyond the classroom. She noted that technical workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, project exhibitions and collaborative events would expose students to real-world engineering challenges and emerging technologies. Encouraging students to participate actively, she urged them to cultivate curiosity, embrace innovation and treat both success and failure as opportunities for learning.



Delivering the inaugural address, Srinivasan Jegadeesan, Head – Design and Development, SIEBEN HOOGEL, Coimbatore, spoke about the evolving role of engineers in driving innovation and shaping modern society. He highlighted the growing opportunities in the Automobile, Civil and Mechanical Engineering sectors, particularly in design, development and manufacturing, and stressed the importance of continuously upgrading technical knowledge and practical skills to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving engineering landscape.

The programme also featured a presentation showcasing the achievements, academic initiatives and milestones of the three departments, reflecting the institution’s continued focus on innovation, research and academic excellence.
