To cater to the increasing passenger demand, Southern Railway has announced a pair of weekly special trains between Hyderabad and Mangaluru Central via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Podanur from August 5 to September 3.
Coimbatore: To cater to the growing passenger demand, Southern Railway has announced a pair of weekly special trains between Hyderabad and Mangaluru Central via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Podanur. The special services will operate between August 5 and September 3, with five trips in each direction.
Train No. 07097 Hyderabad–Mangaluru Central Weekly Special will depart from Hyderabad at 4.20 a.m. every Wednesday from August 5 to September 2, reaching Mangaluru Central at 9.30 a.m. the following day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07098 Mangaluru Central–Hyderabad Weekly Special will leave Mangaluru Central at 8.00 p.m. every Thursday from August 6 to September 3 and arrive at Hyderabad at 4.00 a.m. on Saturdays.
The trains will comprise AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, General Second Class and Luggage-cum-Brake Van coaches with accommodation for differently abled passengers. They will halt at Begumpet, Lingampalli, Vikarabad, Sedam, Yadgir, Krishna, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Hindupur, Yelahanka, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Kuppam, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod en route.
As per the schedule, the Hyderabad–Mangaluru service will reach Salem at 10.30 p.m., Erode at 11.35 p.m., Tiruppur at 12.28 a.m. and Podanur at 1.18 a.m. The return service from Mangaluru will arrive at Podanur at 3.40 a.m., Tiruppur at 5.23 a.m., Erode at 6.10 a.m. and Salem at 7.20 a.m. before continuing its journey to Hyderabad.
