Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage in several areas under the KG Chavadi substation jurisdiction in Madukkarai taluk tomorrow (July 15). The disruption will last from 9 AM to 5 PM as part of routine monthly maintenance activities.

The electricity board officials stated that power supply will be suspended to facilitate essential maintenance work at the KG Chavadi sub-station. This preventive maintenance is carried out regularly to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network in the region.

The affected areas include Chavadi Pudur, Navakarai, Veerappanur, and Kaliyapuram. Residents and commercial establishments in these localities have been advised to make necessary arrangements to cope with the eight-hour power interruption.

The TNEB has requested the cooperation of residents and urged them to plan their activities accordingly, especially those requiring uninterrupted power supply. Essential services and businesses dependent on electricity are advised to arrange for alternative power backup during this period.

The electricity board has assured that the power supply will be restored promptly after the completion of maintenance work by 5 PM, subject to technical clearances. Officials have also mentioned that such regular maintenance activities are crucial for preventing unexpected breakdowns and ensuring stable power supply in the long term.
